In Scandinavia, the world’s finest lingonberries grow wild. Only
selected berries find their way into the UWE jars with compote. In a particularly gentle
manufacturing process the frozen berries are covered with a slightly sweetened syrup
and made durable by pasteurisation.
The fine-bitter taste of the lingonberries can so be preserved in the compote. The berries with
the syrup are particularly suitable for refining desserts, for mixing them in
yoghurt and creams or for mixing with sparkling wine, champagne and cocktails.
